Is it allowed to use live jaguar images in a commercial video game sold in Belize without permission from cultural authorities when filmed in national parks?

Last updated on October 10, 2025

NO. Commercial filming and photography in national parks and protected areas require park and cultural‑heritage permits that set conditions on commercial use and distribution; the Institute of Archaeology and protected‑area authorities publish permit procedures for filming, and using footage captured in parks for commercial products without the required filming and commercial‑use permits breaches those rules. You must obtain written permission prior to filming and commercial exploitation.
