YES. Japanese nationals can enter Austria visa-free for up to 90 days within a 180-day period for tourism, business, or family visits. However, starting in late 2026, they will need to register through the ETIAS system before travel. This exemption is part of Austria’s Schengen commitments and applies to several countries with bilateral agreements. Travelers must still carry valid passports and may be asked for proof of accommodation or return tickets.
