Is it allowed for a U.S. state government to block political speech content while forcing platforms to keep it under a federal AI preemption law?

NO (contradictory) — A proposed 10-year federal ban on AI regulation by states (in a blockbuster bill) would preempt state laws forbidding removal of political speech. But the Senate struck the 10-year ban from the version passed in 2025, effectively preserving state powers over regulation. Thus states can still enforce content removal or preservation rules locally.
